Pride Drive Extension to open soon
New traffic signals at the intersection of what has been called the Pride Drive extension, recently renamed East Pride Boulevard, and Juniper Street are currently in flash mode. They will flash throughout the weekend. Normal signal operation will begin Monday, Feb. 27, before noon.
Centennial Plaza bricks available
There is still an opportunity to purchase an engraved brick to be installed in the walkway surrounding Centennial Plaza in Foley’s Heritage Park. Bricks purchased before March 17 will be included in the spring installation. Bricks are available in 4 x 8 for $50 and 8 x 8 for $125. Bricks can be purchased at the Foley Welcome Center.
New City Clerk
Kathryn Taylor was sworn in as Foley’s municipal clerk at the Jan. 4 city council meeting. Taylor has served as assistant city clerk in Foley since 2013. In 2016 she earned the Certified Municipal Clerk (CMC) designation from the International Institute of Municipal Clerks.

Foley Public Library earns Top 5 Star library in USA in their category! The Foley Public Library received a Five Star rating that placed the Foley library at the top of its classification in the Library Journal Index of Public Library Service. The rating is based on five measures: circulation, library visits, program attendance, public Internet computer use and circulation of electronic materials.
